Terroir

AOC Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Beaune - 100% Pinot-Noir Hautes-Côtes (meaning High Slopes) is a regional designation, harvested in 48 villages in the Burgundy appellation. The Hautes-Côtes are situated parallel to the Côte of Grands Crus in Burgundy, behind and at a higher altitude (300-400 meters rather than 250-350 meters), hence the name "Hautes-Côtes". The Hautes-Côtes of Beaune cover 600 hectares (1,483 acres), 530 of which are planted with red wine vines. Maison Dufouleur Frères makes its selection from growers throughout the appellation to make a fresh and fruity wine, primarily intended to be drunk young.

Wine Making

The wine is aged from 6 to 12 months in oak barrels, with the proportion of new oak varying from 30% to 100% following the analysis, tasting, and evaluation of each vintage. The aging is completed in stainless steel vats in order to return the lithe freshness indispensable to an early-drinking wine. L'élevage se finit en cuve inox pour aider le vin à retrouver la souplesse et la fraîcheur indispensable à une consommation rapide chez nos clients.
